SWACHH VIDYALAYA PURUSKAR

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has instituted a Swachh Vidyalaya Puruskar to recognise, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene practices in schools. Around 676 schools from Delhi had registered themselves with the MHRD in this regard. Basava International School, Sector 23, Dwarka has won the district level Swachh Vidyalaya Puruskar under the green category.

RASHTRIYA HINDI OLYMPIAD

Basava International School, Dwarka participated in the National Hindi Olympiad 2018 conducted by ‘Hindi Vikas Manch’, New Delhi for the Primary school students on 7th August 2018. Ganika Agarwal of class III D was presented with ‘Protsah Puraskar’ at the National level. Out of 100 participants from the school, 22 children bagged the Gold medal, 25 children bagged the silver medal and 22 children received the bronze medal.

Mrs. Usha Verma, the senior secondary Hindi teacher of the school won the ‘Rachnatmak Pratibha Shikshak Samman’ trophy on the basis of essay writing competition for teachers, conducted by them.

Dr.Manimala Roy, the Principal of the school was conferred with ‘Sarthi Samman’.The awards were given in a function organised by the ‘Hindi Vikas Manch’ at NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi on 28th October 2018 by the famous poet Padmashree Surendra Sharma.

JUNIOR CITIZEN AWARD

Himika Batra of Basava International School received the Junior Citizen Award 2018, under the category ‘Women Empowerment’ from the Children’s Entertainment Foundation (CEF). The Junior Citizen Award is given to young Change Makers, children who have acted as an inspiration for others by being actively involved in community work throughout the year and have been associated with NGOs for welfare activities. The award function was held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi on 3rd November,2018.
