Basava International School,Dwarka commemorated its prestigious Investiture Ceremony on the 27th of August, 2019. The school had a formal election of its Student Council members for the academic year 2019-20. The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by a formal welcome to the Chief Guest, Colonel Sushil Kumar. The highlight of the event was the oath taking ceremony and the crisp and meticulous marchpast by the Council members.

The Principal, Dr. Manimala Roy, welcomed the Chief Guest and the parents of the Council members. She briefed them about the role of the Student Council in the context of Basava International School and how it hones the leadership skills of the elected students and strengthens the understanding of the working of democracy in the students participating in the Council election. The honourable Chief Guest, Colonel Sushil Kumar presented badges and sashes to the members of the Student Council and laid emphasis on the significance of possessing leadership qualities, hard work and dedication. He also enlightened the future leaders about being righteous and never giving up.Thereafter, the school choir presented the song ‘We are the World’ before the spectators. The event concluded with the newly elected Head Boy, Dhruva Dayal and Head Girl, Urvija Sharma addressing the students with a promise to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted upon them to their best possible capabilities and always being perseverant towards their goal.
